Details:
On or about Sunday, August 15th, 2021, around 10:27 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and an SUV left a man and woman dead. Deputies from the Pope County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported at the intersection of Highway 7 and Darby Lane in Russellville, Arkansas.
Troopers from the Arkansas State Police said 63-year-old Brian Conatser and 82-year-old Ann Shields were killed when the Toyota Highlander SUV they were in was allegedly struck by a tractor-trailer as they entered the intersection of Highway 7 and Darby Lane. Paramedics pronounced Conaster and Shields dead a short time after the accident. Officials identified the driver of the tractor-trailer as 68-year-old Jerry Ross, who was taken to St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center for unspecified injuries.
According to Google Maps, Highway 7 runs north and south through Russellville, which is roughly 77 miles northeast of downtown Little Rock.
Police are still investigating.
