Brian Makowski Injured in Tractor-Trailer Accident on I-75 near Bowling Green

On or about Monday, October 19th, 2020, around 1:46 in the afternoon, a collision between a car and a disabled tractor-trailer sent one man to the hospital. State Police said the accident happened on the southbound exit ramp of Interstate 75 just outside Bowling Green, Ohio.

Wood County officials said that Brian Makowski was injured when the car he was driving struck the back of a disabled tractor-trailer on the side of the exit ramp at East Wooster Street. Police mentioned that the truck driver had placed four reflective triangles down behind the truck, in addition to activating the hazard lights.

First responders transported Makowski to nearby Wood County Hospital to be treated for various injuries.

Examining the southbound exit ramp leading from I-75 at East Wooster Street shows a single lane on the eastern part of Bowling Green, which is located about 23 miles south of Toledo.

Ohio State Highway Patrol assisted local police at the scene of the accident, which is still under investigation.
