Details:
On or about Thursday, March 10th, 2022, sometime in the evening hours, an accident between two passenger vehicle and a loose trailer sent a 36-year-old woman to the hospital. Representatives from the ISP said the accident was reported along Highway 41 just outside Princeton in Gibson County, Indiana.
Officials from the Indiana State Police said 36-year-old Briana J. Smith was injured when the vehicle she was driving allegedly collided with a trailer that had broken free of the dump truck it was being towed by along Highway 41. A second vehicle driven by James R. Brown allegedly struck the trailer a short time after the first collision. Paramedics transported Smith to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries after the accident.
A short time after the accidents, a dump truck driven by Joshua Longabaugh returned to the scene of the accident. Police said a safety chain on the trailer wasn’t being used.
Police are still investigating the accident.
