On or about Saturday, March 12th, 2022, an accident with an alleged drunk driver claimed the life of an 18-year-old man. Law enforcement representatives from the area said the accident was reported along Lake Olympia Parkway in Missouri City, Texas.
Authorities from the area said 18-year-old Carl Spivey III was killed when the vehicle he was driving was struck by an alleged drunk driver, identified as 38-year-old Ashley Maslak. Emergency responders pronounced Spivey dead of his injuries a short time after the collision. Officials indicated they could smell intoxicants on Maslak after the accident.
Police have since charged Ashley Maslak with murder in connection with the crash.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 17 miles southwest of downtown Houston.
