On or about Thursday, June 2nd, 2022, around 12:55 in the afternoon, an accident between a tow truck and a cyclist left a 53-year-old man dead. Officers from the NYPD said the accident was reported along Bruckner Boulevard in The Bronx, New York.
Local law enforcement representatives said 53-year-old Carlos Martinez was killed when he was allegedly hit by a tow truck while he was riding his bike alongside or across the lanes of Bruckner Boulevard. Paramedics pronounced Martinez dead of his injuries a short time after they arrived at the scene of the incident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is at or near the intersection with East 136th Street.
Police are still examining the cause of the incident.
