On or about Monday, September 20th, 2021, around 9:40 in the morning, an accident between a car and a tractor-trailer left a 70-year-old woman dead. Officials from the WSP said the accident was reported at the intersection of Highway 101 and Maxfield Road in Beaver, Washington.

Officials from the Washington State Patrol said 70-year-old Carol Cook was killed when a tractor-trailer allegedly struck the back of her car while she was turning onto Highway 101 from Maxfield Road. Emergency responders pronounced Cook dead of her injuries when they arrived at the scene of the collision. Police identified the driver of the tractor-trailer as Michael Rondeau, who was unhurt in the collision.

According to Google Maps, Highway 101 runs north and south through Beaver, which is about 129 miles west of Seattle.
