Details:
On or about Tuesday, February 8th, 2022, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle left one woman dead. Authorities from the NSP said the accident was reported along Highway 81 in Pierce, Nebraska.
Sources from the Nebraska State Police said 36-year-old Cassandra Lacost was killed when the car she was in was allegedly hit by a tractor-trailer or dump truck that pulled out of Prime Stop’s parking lot. Emergency responders rushed Lacost to a nearby hospital where she succumbed to her injuries a short time after her arrival.
According to Google Maps, Pierce is about 131 miles northwest of Omaha.
Multiple agencies responded to the scene of the collision.
