Details:
On or about Saturday, March 27th, 2021, around 1:20 in the afternoon, a single-vehicle SUV accident left two people dead. Officials from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Highway 69 just outside Mineola in Wood County, Texas.
Texas DPS troopers said Robert Guy Marino and Cathy Marks were killed when the Ford Explorer SUV they were in allegedly lost control when a tire fell off the vehicle. Marks died at the scene, while Marino was rushed to a nearby hospital where he died of his injuries a short time after his arrival. No other injuries were reported.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about two miles south of Mineola, which is about 84 miles east of downtown Dallas.
Police are still investigating the incident.
