On or about Saturday, December 25th, 2021, around 4:00 in the morning, an accident between a pickup truck and a wrong-way driver left an adult and a child dead, while third person was taken to the hospital. Deputies from the HCSO said the accident was reported along Highway 90 just outside Crosby in Harris County, Texas

Law enforcement spokespeople said 58-year-old Cecil Harris was killed and a juvenile passenger was injured when the car they were in allegedly struck a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck head-on while traveling the wrong direction on Highway 80. Harris and the juvenile passenger died of their injuries a short time after the accident. Paramedics transported the driver of the Tacoma pickup truck to a nearby hospital where he was being treated for serious injuries stemming from the accident.

According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is not far from Crosby, which is about 24 miles northeast of downtown Houston.

Officials are still examining all the factors that may have contributed to the accident.
