Details:
On or about Friday, February 18th, 2022, sometime in the early morning hours, a single-vehicle tractor-trailer accident sent one person to the hospital. Troopers from the MSHP said the accident was reported along Interstate 44 in Phelps County, Missouri.
Investigators said Chad Cherry was injured when the tractor-trailer he was driving allegedly veered off the side of Interstate 44 and rolled when the truck’s load may have shifted. Paramedics airlifted the truck driver to the hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity. Officials did not mention any other vehicles in their statement on the accident.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 44 cuts east and west through Phelps County, which is roughly 224 miles southeast of Kansas City.
Missouri State Highway Patrol assisted after the accident.
