Details:
On or about Thursday, April 28th, 2022, around 8:57 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a motorcycle left a 37-year-old man dead. Deputies from the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported along Highway 30 in Denison, Iowa.
Authorities from the Iowa State Police said 37-year-old Chance Trudell Niles was killed when the motorcycle he was on was allegedly hit by a tractor-trailer that changed lanes along Highway 30. Emergency responders pronounced Niles dead of his injuries a short time after the accident, but it is not immediately clear if he died at the scene, or if he was rushed to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time after his arrival.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from South 14th Street.
Police are still looking into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
