Details:
On or about Saturday, March 6th, 2021, a single-vehicle rollover accident claimed the life of a 49-year-old Ropesville woman. Department of Public Safety spokespeople said the accident happened along FM 3261 in Hockley County, Texas.
Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office said 49-year-old Chanda Jilliann Skaggs was killed when her Nissan Titan pickup truck allegedly rolled after suffering a tire blowout. Skaggs was pronounced dead from the injuries she sustained when she was ejected from the truck as it rolled. No other injuries were mentioned by police in their initial statement.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 30 miles west of Lubbock.
Multiple agencies are investigating the accident.
