On or about Monday, March 1st, 2021, around 10:33 at night, an accident between a car and a tractor-trailer claimed the life of an 18-year-old woman. Investigators said the accident happened along Interstate 270 near Interstate 70 in Columbus, Ohio.
Authorities said a tractor-trailer allegedly struck a Chevrolet Impala that was on the berm of the interstate. Police identified the driver of the Impala as 18-year-old Chandra Basnet, who died from the injuries she sustained when she was ejected from the vehicle in the crash. Officials did not mention any other injuries stemming from the accident in their preliminary report.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident happened in the east side of Columbus.
Police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
