On or about Friday, November 12th, 2021, around 10:15 in the morning, a major accident between a passenger vehicle and farming equipment claimed the life of an 80-year-old Little Rock man. Authorities from the ASP said the accident was reported along the southbound side of Highway 13 in Prairie County, Arkansas.
Law enforcement spokespeople said 80-year-old Charles Mixon was killed when the car he was driving allegedly struck the back of farming equipment that was being driven by 60-year-old Charles Wrigley. Paramedics pronounced Mixon dead a short time after the collision, while Wrigley was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity.
According to Google Maps, Highway 13 runs north and south through Prairie County, which is about 45 miles east of downtown Little Rock.
Arkansas State Police assisted after the accident.
