On or about Saturday, April 16th, 2022, around 12:25 in the afternoon, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a pedestrian left a 43-year-old man dead. Troopers from the NJHP said the accident was reported along the New Jersey Turnpike in East Windsor, New Jersey.
Spokespeople from the New Jersey Highway Patrol said 43-year-old Charles Niclas III was killed when he was allegedly struck by a tractor-trailer as he was standing near a disabled vehicle on the side of the New Jersey Turnpike. Emergency responders pronounced Niclas dead of his injuries a short time after they responded to the scene of the incident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from mile marker 648.4.
Authorities are still investigating the incident.
