On or about Tuesday, April 19th, 2022, around 12:30 in the morning, an accident between an SUV and a box truck left a Pottsboro, Texas man dead. Representatives from the NJHP said the accident was reported at or near the intersection of Route 30 and Spring Garden Road in Winslow Township, New Jersey.
Representatives from the New Jersey Highway Patrol said 73-year-old Charles Souza was killed when the SUV he was in and a box truck allegedly collided head-on when Souza crossed over the center line of the roadway. Emergency responders pronounced Souza dead of his injuries a short time after the accident. Officials did not mention any other vehicles in their statement on the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 48 miles south of downtown Newark.
Police are still looking into the accident..
