On or about Monday, August 23rd, 2021, around 9:30 in the morning, an accident between a car and a tractor-trailer claimed the lives of two Nashville Residents. Officials from the TSP said the accident was reported along the westbound side of Interstate 40 in Dickson, Tennessee.

Police from the area said 50-year-old Robert Mckenzie and 22-year-old Charlie Mckenzie were killed when the car they were in allegedly collided with a tractor-trailer while chaning lanes on Westbound Interstate 40. Both Charlie and Robert Mckenzie died a short time after the accident. The driver of the tractor-trailer was unhurt in the accident.

According to Google Maps, Interstate 40 runs east and west through the southern edge of Dickson, which is about 42 miles east of downtown Nashville.

Authorities hope to release more information when it becomes available.
