Details:
On or about Monday, November 1st, 2021, around 4:05 in the afternoon, an accident between a motorcycle and a tractor-trailer claimed the life of a 36-year-old Mount Holly man. Law enforcement representatives said the accident was reported along the westbound side of Interstate 26 in Calhoun County, South Carolina.
Police said 36-year-old Chase Mayberry was killed when his motorcycle was allegedly run off the side of Interstate 26 when a tractor-trailer changed lanes unexpectedly on I-26. Mayberry was ejected from his motorcycle in the crash and died of his injuries a short time after emergency responders arrived at the scene. Officials did not mention any other injuries stemming from the accident.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 26 runs along the western edge of Calhoun County, which is about 39 miles south of Columbia.
