Details:
On or about Tuesday, December 29th, 2020, around 6:25 in the evening, an accident between a dump truck and a pickup truck left one woman dead and sent a man to the hospital. Troopers from the DPS said the accident happened on the eastbound side of Kell Boulevard in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Authorities said Cheryl Gilmore was killed and Don Gilmore was injured when their pickup truck allegedly struck the back of a dump truck that was traveling below the speed limit. Paramedics rushed both Don and Cheryl Gilmore to a nearby hospital where Cheryl died of her injuries a short time after her arrival.
Google Maps shows Kell Boulevard runs east and west into the heart of Wichita Falls, which is located about 141 miles northwest of downtown Dallas.
Texas Department of Public Safety is assisting local law enforcement with the accident investigation.
