Details:
On or about Saturday, December 25th, 2021, around 8:40 at night, a hit-and-run accident claimed the lives of an adult and a child. Deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported in the 7100 block of South Gessner Road in Houston, Texas.
Officials from the HPD said an as-of-yet unidentified adult and a child were killed when the car they were in was allegedly struck by a speeding pickup truck as they were trying to cross South Gessner Road. Paramedics pronounced an adult and a child in the car dead of their injuries a short time after they arrived at the scene. The driver of the pickup truck fled the scene on foot.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is on the southwest side of Houston.
Authorities are still trying to track down the driver of the pickup truck.
