Details:
On or about Saturday, June 18th, 2022, around 6:15 in the evening, a serious hit-and-run accident sent a 5-year-old child to the hospital. Deputies from the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along Avant Avenue in San Antonio, Texas.
Authorities from the San Antonio Police Department said an as-of-yet unidentified 5-year-old child was injured when they were allegedly hit by a vehicle that hopped a curb along Avant Avenue. After the initial accident the vehicle fled the scene. Emergency responders rushed the child to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries after the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is on the southeast side of San Antonio.
Authorities are still looking for the driver and vehicle that fled the scene.
