On or about Friday, October 22nd, 2021, around 4:30 in the afternoon, an accident between a car and a tractor-trailer sent a 4-year-old boy to the hospital. Troopers from the MSHP said the accident was reported at the intersection of Highway 65 and Route C in Grundy County, Missouri.

Police said an as-of-yet unidentified 4-year-old boy was injured when the car he was riding in, driven by Samantha R. Lynch, was allegedly struck by a tractor-trailer driven by Paul G. England as she was attempting to turn onto Highway 65 from Route C. Paramedics transported the 4-year-old boy to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries after the accident. Lynch and England were reportedly unhurt in the crash.

According to Google Maps, Grundy County is about 107 miles northeast of downtown Kansas City.

State and local law enforcement responded to the scene of the accident.
