Details:
On or about Monday, January 18th, 2021, around 3:50 in the afternoon, an accident with a delivery truck left a 4-year-old child dead. Troopers from the NYSP said the accident happened at the entrance of an apartment complex on DA Weider Boulevard in Kiryas Joel, New York.
Law enforcement spokespeople said an as-of-yet unidentified 4-year-old child was killed when a delivery truck allegedly struck them while turning into the apartment complex. Emergency responders pronounced the child dead a short time after they arrived at the scene of the incident.
According to Google Maps, the village of Kiryas Joel is located about 58 miles north of the New York City area.
State Police is assisting deputies from the county sheriff’s office with the investigation.
