Details:
On or about Sunday, April 24th, 2022, around 5:42 in the afternoon, an accident between a high profile truck and a pedestrian left a young child dead. Officials from the NMSP said the accident was reported at Veterans Memorial Park in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
Investigators said one as-of-yet unidentified child was killed when they were allegedly backed over by a high profile truck at Veterans Memorial Park. Emergency responders pronounced the child dead a short time after the accident, but it is not immediately clear if they died at the scene or after they were rushed to a nearby hospital where they succumbed to their injuries a short time after their arrival.
According to Google Maps, Veterans Memorial Park is on the northeast side of Las Cruces.
Authorities are still looking into the incident.
