On or about Monday, August 23rd, 2021, around 1:50 in the afternoon, a single-vehicle crane truck accident claimed the life of a 19-year-old truck driver. Law enforcement representatives from the area said the accident was reported along FM 2854 at Collier Cemetery in Montgomery County, Texas.
Officials said 19-year-old Christian Ruiz was killed when the Ford F-750 crane truck he was in allegedly suffered a tire blowout and rolled off the road into a ditch. Emergency responders pronounced Ruiz dead of his injuries a short time after they arrived at the scene of the accident. Police did not mention any other vehicles in their initial statement on the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident at FM 2854 and Collier Cemetery Road is a short distance west of Conroe, which is about 39 miles north of Houston.
