Deputies from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported along Route 1 in Edgecomb, Maine.
Investigators from the Maine State Police said Christopher Pennock was injured when his car and a tractor-trailer collided under unspecified circumstances, pushing Pennock’s car into the path of a nearby pickup truck driven by Randall Nichols. Emergency responders transported Pennock to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries stemming from the accident.
According to Google Maps, Route 1 cuts through the northwest corner of Edgecomb, which is situated roughly 50 miles northeast of Portland.
