On or about Wednesday, January 20th, 2021, around 7:29 in the morning, an accident between a car and a Green Forest school bus left a 24-year-old man dead. Troopers from the ASP said the accident happened along Highway 62 in Carroll County, Arkansas.

Authorities indicated 24-year-old Christopher Anderson was killed when the Hyundai he was driving allegedly struck the back of a Green Forest school bus. The Hyundai burst into flames following the collision. Anderson died of his injuries a short time after the accident. Several students on the bus were injured.

Police said the bus was stopped with it’s lights on at the time of the accident.

According to Google Streetview, Highway 62 is four lanes that run east and west through the area.

Police hope to release more information as soon as it becomes available.
