Details:
On or about Friday, March 5th, 2021, around 8:15 in the morning, an accident between a car and a dump truck claimed the life of a 29-year-old Orange man. Department of Public Safety Troopers said the accident happened along FM 408 near FM 105 near Bridge City in Orange County, Texas.
Texas DPS said 29-year-old Christopher Cooksey was killed when his car allegedly veered over the center line from the southbound lanes and struck a northbound dump truck. Paramedics pronounced Cooksey dead of his injuries at the scene of the accident. A child in the Honda was taken to the hospital as a precaution. No other injuries were reported.
According to Google Maps, the accident happened just outside Bridge City, which is situated a short distance from the Louisiana state line.
Police hope to release more information at a later date.
