Details:
On or about Friday, January 29th, 2021, an accident between a car and a tractor-trailer left one man dead and sent a woman to the hospital. Officials from the Texas DPS said the accident happened on the eastbound side of Interstate 20 in Tyler, Texas.
Department of Public Safety Troopers said a tractor-trailer driven by Reynaldo Rafael Aparicio allegedly struck the back of a Chevrolet HHR driven by 42-year-old Christopher Ladale Young. The Chevrolet was traveling with it’s flashers on at a slow rate of speed at the time of the accident. Young was pronounced dead of his injuries at the scene.
Police identified 43-year-old Cori Leann Davis as a passenger in Young’s car. Davis was rushed to the hospital with unknown injuries.
Interstate 20 runs east and west just north of Tyler. According to Google Maps, Tyler is about 98 miles southeast of Dallas.
Police are still investigating the incident.
