On or about Wednesday, January 12th, 2022, sometime in the afternoon hours, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle left a 46-year-old man dead. Officers from the TPD said the accident was reported at the intersection of Palo Verde Road and Valencia Road in Tucson, Arizona.
Law enforcement spokespeople said 46-year-old Clay Gerald Turner was killed when a tractor-trailer allegedly struck his vehicle while he was attempting a turn at the intersection of Valencia Road and Palo Verde Road. Paramedics pronounced Turner dead of his injuries a short time after the accident. The driver of the tractor-trailer sustained unspecified injuries.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of Palo Verde Road and Valencia Road is on the south side of Tucson.
Police are still investigating the accident.
