Details:
On or about Sunday, June 19th, 2022, around 6:00 in the morning, a serious single-vehicle car accident left a teenager dead and sent another to the hospital. Officials from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Highway 87 in Amarillo, Texas.
Troopers from the Texas DPS said 16-year-old Clayton Anderson was killed and 19-year-old Trent Wood was injured when the pickup truck they were in allegedly veered off the side of Highway 87 and crashed into a tree a short distance off the pavement. Emergency responders pronounced Anderson dead of his injuries a short time after the accident, while Wood was taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
