On or about Tuesday, December 14th, 2021, around 5:48 in the evening, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a farm tractor left one individual dead. Authorities from the NSP said the accident was reported at the intersection of Road 4 and Road J just outside McCool Junction, Nebraska.
Police officers said Cleon D. Schwartz was killed when the farm tractor he was driving was allegedly struck from behind by a tractor-trailer while driving at or near the intersection of Road 4 and Road J. Emergency responders pronounced Schwartz dead of his injuries at the scene of the accident. Officials identified the driver of the tractor-trailer as Larry D. Burton. Officials did not indicate if Burton was hurt in the collision.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 54 miles west of Lincoln.
Multiple agencies responded to the scene of the collision to assist.
