Details:
On or about Friday, April 16th, 2021, around 11:40 in the morning, an accident between an 18-wheeler and a tractor-trailer left one man dead and sent another to the hospital. Police said the accident happened along the westbound side of Interstate 84 in Caldwell, Idaho.
Troopers from the ISP said an eastbound tractor-trailer driven by 24-year-old Jesus Gastelum Corrales allegedly lost control and struck an oncoming 18-wheeler driven by 34-year-old Clifford Dow. Paramedics pronounced Dow dead of his injuries after the crash, while Corrales was taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
Interstate 84 runs east and west through the center of Caldwell, which is about 27 miles east of Boise.
Authorities are still investigating the accident.
