On or about Thursday, August 12th, 2021, around 9:30 at night, an accident between a pedestrian and a tractor-trailer claimed the life of a 55-year-old man. Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along Thompson Road near the exchange with Interstate 10 in Baytown, Texas.
Law enforcement representatives, 55-year-old Conrad Williams was killed when he was allegedly struck by a dump truck as he was walking alongside or making an attempt to cross the lanes of Thompson Road near Interstate 10. Emergency responders pronounced Williams dead of his injuries, but officials did not indicate if he died at the scene or after being rushed to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
According to Google Maps, Baytown is situated about 26 miles east of downtown Houston.
Deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene of the accident.
