Details:
On or about Thursday, October 7th, 2021, an accident between a tractor-trailer and an SUV sent a 48-year-old man to the hospital. Troopers from the NSP said the accident was reported along Highway 91 just outside Lindsay in Platte County, Nebraska.
Authorities said 48-year-old Cory Groenke was injured when his SUV was allegedly hit by a tractor-trailer that was turning out of a private driveway. Emergency responders transported Groenke to Boone County Health Center where he was treated for unspecified injuries. Police identified the driver of the tractor-trailer as 81-year-old Gary Johnson, who was unhurt in the accident.
Officials said fog may have been a contributing factor in the accident.
Police are still investigating the collision.
