Details:
On or about Friday, November 26th, 2021, around 10:32 at night, an accident between a pedestrian and a passenger vehicle left a 46-year-old Gatesville woman dead. Deputies from the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported in the 4600 block of River Oaks Boulevard in River Oaks, Texas.
Investigators said 46-year-old Courtney Rene Scarborough was killed when she was allegedly struck by a passing motorist while she was walking alongside or made an attempt to cross River Oaks Boulevard. Paramedics pronounced Scarborough dead of her injuries a short time after they responded to the scene of the accident. The driver of the car stopped at the scene and was assisting police.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance west of downtown Fort Worth.
Police are still investigating.
