Details:
On or about Sunday, June 19th, 2022, around 2:30 in the morning, an accident between a cyclist and an alleged drunk driver left a 43-year-old woman dead. Deputies from the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along South Plano Road in Richardson, Texas.
Authorities from the Texas Department of Public Safety said 43-year-old Courtney Terrill was killed when she was allegedly hit by a drunk driver while she was riding her bike alongside or across the lanes of South Plano Road. Paramedics pronounced Terrill dead of her injuries a short time after they responded to the accident.
Officials identified the driver of the passenger vehicle as Jesus Esquivel, who currently faces an intoxication manslaughter charge in connection with the accident.
Police are still investigating.
