Details:
On or about Tuesday, January 26th, 2021, around 8:30 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and several parked 18-wheelers sent one man to the hospital. Officials from the MSHP said the accident happened along Highway 61 just outside Canton in Marion County, Missouri.
Highway Patrol Troopers said 71-year-old Cozza Francisco was injured when his tractor-trailer allegedly struck three parked 18-wheelers on the northbound side of the highway. Francisco was taken to Blessing Hospital before being transferred to Barnes-Jewish Hospital with serious injuries. No other injuries were reported.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is one mile north of Canton, which is located about 151 miles north of St. Louis.
Missouri State Highway Patrol and local law enforcement are still investigating the accident.
