Details:
On or about Friday, April 29th, 2022, around 9:00 at night, a major hit-and-run car accident between a pickup truck and a passenger vehicle left two teenage siblings dead and sent three other teenagers to the hospital. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Esperanza Road in Dallas, Texas.
Spokespeople from the Texas DPS said 15-year-old Andres Pineda and 16-year-old Crystal Pineda were killed, while three other people were injured when the vehicle they were in was allegedly hit head-on by a pickup truck driving the wrong direction on Esperanza Road. After the initial accident, the driver of the pickup truck fled the scene. Emergency responders pronounced Andres and Crystal Pineda dead of their injuries, while three other people in their vehicle were transported to the hospital with unspecified injuries stemming from the accident.
Police have since announced they are trying to track down Faustino Membreno Rivera in connection with the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from the intersection with Spring Valley Road.
Officials are still investigating the accident.
