On or about Wednesday, February 23rd, 2022, around 1:45 in the morning, a major accident between a tractor-trailer and an SUV left a 41-year-old woman dead. Troopers from the ASP said the accident was reported along State Highway 278 East in Drew County, Arkansas.

Investigators said 41-year-old Crystal Gibson was killed when a tractor-trailer allegedly drove over the center line of State Highway 278 East and struck the SUV she was driving. Paramedics pronounced Gibson dead of her injuries after the accident. Officials did not mention any other injuries in connection with the accident.

According to Google Maps, State Highway 278 cuts east and west through Drew County.

Arkansas State Police and local authorities assisted after the accident.
