On or about Thursday, December 17th, 2020, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a pedestrian claimed the life of a 42-year-old woman. Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office said the accident happened at the intersection of South School Avenue and West 15th Street in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Officers said 42-year-old Crystal Shoaf was killed when she was allegedly hit by an 18-wheeler between South School Avenue and Frisco Trail. Paramedics rushed Shoaf to a nearby hospital where she eventually succumbed to her injuries. Police did not elaborate on her placement in the road at the time of the accident.

According to Google Streetview, West 15th Street is four lanes that run east and west, while South School Avenue runs north and south. The intersection is controlled by a stoplight.

Arkansas State Police are assisting in the accident investigation.
