On or about Wednesday, May 4th, 2022, around 3:00 in the morning, a serious hit-and-run car accident with a cyclist sent one individual to the hospital. Spokespeople from the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along Fairmeadows Street in San Antonio, Texas.
Officers from the San Antonio Police Department said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when they were allegedly hit by an SUV as they were riding their bike alongside or made an attempt to cross Fairmeadows Street. After the initial collision with the cyclist, the SUV fled the scene of the incident. Emergency responders transported the cyclist to the hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from Poteet Jourdanton Freeway on the south side of San Antonio.
Authorities are still trying to find the driver and vehicle that fled the scene.
