Details:
On or about Monday, March 1st, 2021, around 4:00 in the afternoon, an accident between an 18-wheeler and a cyclist sent one person to the hospital. Police said the accident happened along Highway 301 just north of Interstate 10 in Jacksonville, Florida.
Troopers from the FHP said one as-of-yet unidentified person was injured when they were allegedly struck by a tractor-trailer as they were riding their bike. Paramedics transported the cyclist to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries stemming from the accident. Officials did not release any other information pertaining to the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is just outside Balwin, on the western edge of Jacksonville.
Police are still investigating the incident.
