On or about Wednesday, June 29th, 2022, around 6:03 in the evening, an accident between a motorcycle and an SUV left a 28-year-old man dead. Authorities from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Highway 287 in Anderson County, Texas.
Spokespeople from the Texas DPS said 28-year-old Dakota Boger was killed when the motorcycle he was driving allegedly struck an SUV while attempting to pass in the center turn lane. Emergency responders pronounced Borger dead of his injuries a short time after they arrived at the scene of the collision. The driver of the SUV was treated for unspecified injuries at the scene.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a mile south of Palestine.
Authorities are still investigating.
