On or about Tuesday, September 14th, 2021, around 2:47 in the afternoon, an accident between a car and a tractor-trailer sent a 72-year-old man to the hospital. Deputies from the Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported at the intersection of Highway 65 and 110th Avenue Northeast just outside Griggs, North Dakota.
Police said 72-year-old Dale Kinzler was killed when his car was allegedly struck by a tractor-trailer that failed to yield at the intersection of Highway 65 and 110th Avenue Northeast. Paramedics transported Kinzler to the hospital by helicopter where medical staff last reported him in stable condition.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is not far from Binford, which is about 109 miles northwest of Fargo.
Police are still working to pin down the factors that may have contributed to the accident.
