Details:
On or about Sunday, April 11th, 2021, an accident between a pedestrian, two cars, and a box truck left a 43-year-old man dead. Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office said the accident happened along Highway 80 in Mesquite, Texas.
Department of Public Safety Troopers said 43-year-old Dale Thomas was killed when he was allegedly struck by two cars and a box truck as he was walking along or trying to cross the highway. One of the cars fled the scene of the accident. Paramedics pronounced Thomas dead from his injuries a short time after they arrived at the scene.
According to Google Maps, Highway 80 runs east and west through Mesquite, which is about 13 miles east of downtown Dallas.
Police hope to release more information whenever it becomes available.
