On or about Thursday, February 25th, 2021, around 6:48 in the morning, an accident between a school bus and a log truck left one person dead and sent another to the hospital. Police said the accident happened at the intersection of State Route 590 and River Road in Ellisville, Mississippi.

Troopers from the MSP said 55-year-old Dana White was killed when the log truck he was driving was allegedly struck by a school bus driven by 63-year-old Dinah Williamson. Police said the school bus was crossing State Route 590 on River Road at the time of the accident. Paramedics transported Williamson to the hospital with serious injuries.

A short time after the initial crash, police said another 18-wheeler crashed into the scene of the accident, causing the tractor-trailer to tip off the side of the roadway.

Deputies from the Jones County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the accident.
