Details:
On or about Saturday, January 15th, 2022, around 6:00 in the morning, an accident between a pedestrian, a tractor-trailer and two passenger vehicles claimed the life of a 38-year-old Albuquerque, New Mexico man. Troopers from the ASP said the accident was reported along the eastbound side of Interstate 30 near the 106 mile marker in Saline County, Arkansas.
Spokespeople from the Arkansas State Police said 38-year-old Daniel Adrian Barajas was killed when he was allegedly struck by a tractor-trailer and two passenger vehicles as he was walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of I-30. Emergency responders pronounced Barajas dead of his injuries a short time after the accident. Police did not mention any other injuries stemming from the accident.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 30 winds east and west through Saline County, which is located about 23 miles southwest of downtown Little Rock.
Multiple agencies responded to the scene to assist.
