On or about Saturday, May 14th, 2022, around 7:15 in the evening, a major single-vehicle rollover car accident left a 34-year-old man dead and sent another man to the hospital. Authorities from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along FM 1408 in Jasper County, Texas.
Officials from the Texas DPS said 34-year-old Daniel Gish was killed, while Christian Gish was injured when the vehicle they were in allegedly drove off the side of FM 1408 and rolled several times. Emergency responders pronounced Daniel Gish dead of his injuries at the scene of the accident, while Christian Gish was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about five miles east of Jasper.
Police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
