On or about Wednesday, June 22nd, 2022, around 2:15 in the morning, a serious accident between a passenger vehicle and a tractor-trailer left one man dead. Representatives from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Farm-to-Market Road 866 in Ector County, Texas.
Authorities from the Texas DPS said Daniel Chaparro Garcia was killed when the vehicle he was driving allegedly hit a tractor-trailer when he ran a stop sign along FM 866. Emergency responders pronounced Garcia dead of his injuries a short time after the accident. Police did not mention any other injuries in their statement on the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance west of Odessa.
Police are still examining the circumstances surrounding the accident.
